Who we are

AquaNet ("we", "us") operates the aquaculture curriculum hub at aquanetca.org and aquanetca.com. We build software for faculty at colleges and universities teaching aquaculture and related disciplines.

What we collect

How we use it

How we store and protect it

Data is stored on Lovable Cloud (managed Postgres + storage) with row-level security enforced per user. Email and phone are only visible to the profile owner and site admins; other authenticated faculty see profile cards without personal contact details. All traffic is served over HTTPS.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers we depend on to run the service (Lovable Cloud / Supabase for hosting and database, Cloudflare for edge delivery), and with services you explicitly connect (e.g., Google Drive for importing curriculum files).

Cookies and tracking

We use a first-party session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your account data or deletion of your account at any time by emailing the address below.

Children

AquaNet is intended for use by faculty, instructors, and adult students at post-secondary institutions. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We will post material changes to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
